And if you also complete two recognised internships, you will not only receive the title Bachelor of Arts, but also the title of "State-recognised Childhood Educator". Self-study with learning materials and learning AI. Subsequent consolidation through regular accompanying events on campus or virtually. Exams can be taken on your campus or flexibly online.
Courses
2-3 days per week in the attendance phase. Practical work with your fellow students under the guidance of experienced lecturers. Days and times vary depending on location/semester.

In the Bachelor's programme in Childhood Pedagogy, you will learn all the essentials in the areas of care, education and upbringing. You will also acquire skills and competencies in the areas of relationship building, cooperation, communication and interaction. Two recognised internships in the compulsory elective area (40 days) and as an extracurricular elective module (60 days) help you to put what you have learned into practice. And the degree qualifies you to provide expert advice and support to children, their parents or families and the relevant cooperation structures.
You study topics that are divided into so-called modules. On successful completion of these modules, your achievements are recorded as ECTS points (European Credit Transfer System). With these points, your achievements are internationally comparable and recognised.

Studierenden im Studiengang Kindheitspädagogik wird der Titel „Staatlich anerkannte:r Kindheitspädagog:in“ verliehen, wenn sie die Anerkennungspraktika Pädagogik der frühen Kindheit I + II erfolgreich absolvieren. Die staatliche Anerkennung ist zwingend notwendig, wenn Du in einer staatlichen Einrichtung, etwa einer städtischen Kindertagesstätte, als Kindheitspädagog:in arbeiten willst. Darüber hinaus verlangen auch viele freie Träger die staatliche Anerkennung für eine Einstellung als Kindheitspädagog:in. Daher empfehlen wir Dir die Anerkennungspraktika zu absolvieren und die staatliche Anerkennung zu beantragen.
