Media Management myStudium programme at IU International University (IU) provides you with important fundamentals of Business Administration, media knowledge and skills in Marketing and Media Production. Additionally, you will gain in-depth knowledge of Crossmedia Management and Digital Editorial Management. The practical reference to the media industry and the learning of tools and strategies from practice prepare you for a successful start to your career. With this degree programme, a lot of opportunities in the media industry are open to you – such as in publishing houses, TV and radio stations, PR and advertising agencies, market and opinion research institutes as well as communication departments of associations, organisations, start-ups or large corporations.

Self-study with learning materials and learning AI. Subsequent consolidation through regular accompanying events on campus or virtually. Exams can be taken on your campus or flexibly online.
Courses
2-3 days per week in the attendance phase. Practical work with your fellow students under the guidance of experienced lecturers. Days and times vary depending on location/semester.

As a Media Manager, you answer questions about how creative ideas and media are economically successful and which new media formats inspire certain target groups. The Media Management myStudium programme prepares you for the future of the communications industry with business basics, content from the media world and soft skills. Later you have the choice between different elective modules.
The bachelor's degree programme has a modular structure. In other words, the subject areas are divided into modules. Within each of these modules, there is an introductory course and an in-depth course, which prepare you step by step for the completion of that particular module. For each successful completion, you receive ECTS points (European Credit Transfer System), which are internationally comparable and recognised.
Compulsory elective modules: In compulsory elective areas A, B and C, you choose two compulsory elective modules each. Compulsory elective area D: Decide at the beginning between an internship at a company or modules from elective area D. You complete the internship with a practical reflection. If you opt for the modules from compulsory elective area D, all modules from this area must be completed. Mixed forms between internship and elective area D are not possible.
